Hi, my name is James Atassi and I'm a born and raised San Diegan. I graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Anthropology with a pre-med concentration. Following undergrad, I worked in the biotechnology industry in a biological environment working with antibodies as well as in quality control working in analytical chem labs. My interest has always been immunology and the goal of innovating therapies for thymus regeneration. My career goal in life is to apply for Medical School following my prospective graduation. That is why I started in the biotechnology industry as I wanted to grasp the understanding of pharmaceuticals and medical tech as I developed my background in a personal hobby. Outside of my science-driven lifestyle, I have a passion for cooking and have worked in the foodservice industry in various facets for nearly 13 years (since I was legal to carry a worker's permit). This love for cooking, combined with my love for health sciences drives me to find the answer to aging. I am currently a master's candidate at California State University San Marcos in the Public Health program and am also an intern at The Center for Research on Addiction and Brain Health (CRABH) in their Longevity study group, researching the effects and treatments of aging and age-related diseases. In addition to that, I am also in a study monitoring the recent effects of SARS-CoV-2 on the immune system.
