My name is Dhivyan Kurani and I am a Science Research Intern at the Center for Research on Addiction and Brain Health (CRABH). Having the opportunity to intern and carry out research for CRABH gave me insight into new and innovative mechanisms and treatments such as epigenetic clocks as well as thymic rejuvenation therapies to combat immunosenescence in the elderly population. In addition, as a Science Research Intern, I was able to work alongside other highly motivated interns to promote topics related to improving individual well-being as well as longevity. Currently, I am a Sophomore at Nova Southeastern University studying Biology and minoring in Research Studies. In the future I hope to work in the healthcare field, focusing on individualized healthcare for patients through genomic medicine. Aside from school and research, I enjoy going fishing, skateboarding, and working out at the gym.
